The unveiling took place on September 27 and featured performanc- es by Chinese lion dancers, as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony with guest of Cynthias Chinese officially celebrates Oakville opening honour Councillor Keith Bird. From the beginning of their ven- ture, Joe and Cynthia have been devot- ed to providing upscale fine dining at a reasonable price. Our business always has been and always will be family-run, says Cynthia. This husband-wife duo (Joe is the head chef and Cynthia runs the front of house) has been in the restaurant busi- ness for years, running several restau- rants in Australia before coming to Canada and opening their first Cynthias Chinese location 17 years ago in Newmarket and a Thornhill location five years later. It really is a team effort, says Cynthia. There is so much involved with running just one restaurant. Having three keeps us very busy and I certainly couldnt do it alone. The restaurant had a soft opening last year but between running three dif- ferent locations, finding time to have an official ceremony proved to be a chal- lenge. The grand opening of Cynthias Oakville location was delayed by a year but was finally celebrated last month with great success. Featuring traditional Chinese cui- sine, Cynthias offers a huge variety of appetizers, mains and desserts. All meals are cooked to the customers specifications, affording those with spe- cial dietary needs the opportunity to enjoy the quality, variety and taste of Cynthias Chinese Restaurant. We take pride in our consistency, always offering the highest quality of food and atmosphere, says Cynthia. Whether you want an upscale authentic dining experience or a quiet meal at home with genuine Chinese cuisine, Cynthias Chinese Restaurant is precisely what youre looking for.
