According to the police, on Sept. 1 a man handed a bank teller a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun, although no gun was actually seen. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money the man fled the scene. On Monday, Oct. 25, Halton police arrest- ed Oakville resident Muneeb Ghaus Mahmood and charged him with robbery in connection with the TD bank incident. He was arrested at his home without inci- dent. Police said a Crime Stoppers of Halton media release about the crime was instru- mental in encouraging members of the public to come forward with information about it.
