Halton polices fraud unit began an investigation in 2008 when it received information that the Oakville dentist was engaged in fraudulent activities. According to the police, the inves- tigation deals with billings from a den- tal office submitted to a number of insurance companies and patients from May 2007 to July 2009. On Sept. 9 Anoushirvan (Andy) Baghaei was arrested and charged multiple times with fraud exceeding $5,000, fraud not exceeding $5,000 and uttering forged documents. His office is located at 301 Lakeshore Rd. W. Baghaei will appear in Milton court on Oct. 12. Anyone with information sur- rounding false billing originating from a dental office is asked to call Det. Dentist accused of bogus billing An article Fair shed light on renew- able energy options in The Oakville Beaver, Sept. 17 issue gave the incor- rect guaranteed rate under the Provinces microFIT program for solar power . The correct rate is 80.2 cents per kilowatt-hour for roof-top solar-power projects and 64.2 cents per kilowatt- hour for all ground-mounted solar power systems approved after July 2 of this year.
