The company has different levels of dance that include a recreational department as well as competitive. There is even a level for the adults who may not have danced as a child but are interested in trying this exciting and ever expanding art form. The interesting thing is that the passion the directors and staff have for teaching is not the only reason people come to learn. Its the con- nection to each other. From the fundraising events like the dance-a- thon to the Oceana Ball (a fundrais- er held to give to the Herby Fund helping kids all over the world), to the gatherings like the annual CDC Christmas party (a dress to impress evening with live band, DJ, guest performers etc) and the year end performance at the Living Arts Centre, where the additional mem- bers like Dennis Lupien (Thats right; another family member) of the support team works hard all year round to produce and display the amazing props and sets that have been compared to the best of Broadway shows. The most common of comments from a newcomer is that their son or daughter now looks forward to getting to class and practices on their own with out any persuasion from parents. They look forward to coming to dance class as a chance to express their passion. They walk through the studio doors and are immediately greeted with smiling and excited faces from friends and faculty members. The atmosphere at the Canadian Dance Company is one built around a love of dance and each other. A commonality that brings all their students together and helps form bonds that last a lifetime. CDC offers classes in various dis- ciplines including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, acrobatics, tumbling and salsa. The Instruction is tops, the atmosphere is first class, and the results will impact lives in the most positive ways for years and years to come. 245 Wyecroft Rd.
