Brendan Dixon, 17, of Waterloo went missing Aug. 20 from a Seaforth residence, where he was visiting family, police said. He planned to hitchhike back to Waterloo around 6:30 p.m. to see his friends and has not been seen since, police said. Police believe Dixon may have friends in the Oakville and Burlington areas. They also plan to search Guelph, London, Barrie, Waterloo and Toronto. Dixon is 5-foot-11 and 110 pounds with a slim build. He has straight brown hair, brown eyes, and he was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers are 1- 800-222-TIPS (8477). Missing teen could be in Oakville The 5th annual Critters Gone Country Walkathon and Fall Fair is coming to the Cornwall Road Park on Sunday, Oct. 3. The event, presented by the Hills Science Diet, will include fun activi- ties for families and a long walk for people and their pets. The day will include a 5 km walk or half km stroll for animals through beautiful old Oakville around the park. The fair portion of the event will have fun for the whole family, includ- ing agility demonstration, a fun dog show, a childrens zone with inflat- able carnival games and crafts, a ven- dor marketplace with food and prod- ucts for pets and their people, and more. Funds, raised through pledges, will to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society. The event will run from noon to 4 p.m. Pledge forms and more infor- mation are available at www.oakvillemiltonhumane.ca.
