Out to uncover a cure and others, is part of a major fundrais- ing effort for research of cancers below the belt through North York General Hospital The Underwear Affair fundraising walk. Last years car wash in Oakville raised $2,000 toward the $17,500 Kelleys Angels put to the cause. This year, the team has expanded to more than 30, and has added the guys Guardians team. To date, the Oakville effort has raised nearly $20,000 for the cause through bake sales, garage sales and more and hopes the car wash will add another hefty donation. The car wash will be held Sunday, Aug. 28 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Sobeys parking lot at Lakeshore Road and Bronte Road in Bronte Village. Thanks to Sobeys manager Joe Feeney, the space and the food for a barbecue has been donated. This years event promises to be much larger than last, according to Ashley, Kelleys sister.
