The exhibit, titled Thinking Beyond, opened last week and fea- tures the pottery and photography work of three Oakville ladies. Rhonda Thibodeau and Nazila Bolourian have produced the pot- tery for the show and Susan Brown has shot the photographs current- ly hanging on the walls of the soci- etys gallery in Bronte. Brown also made a few pottery pieces. Brown said that a lot of hard work went into the show and already many of the pieces have been sold already. Youve probably not seen any- thing quite like it before. In my photography, I dont try to just do landscapes. I do a variety of things. Im not afraid to venture beyond and thats why weve called our show Thinking Beyond, she said. Its the same with Nazila and Rhonda. They dont just throw a bowl on the wheel. We try to create something thats a little bit differ- ent and unique and quite often something very functional so its not just something pretty you look at but quite often you can use it. In fact, the pottery work is so useful thats exactly what the group has done at the shows open- ing. Visitors were served refresh- ments and snacks right from the bowls created for the show. The show has about 30 photo- graphs and 60 pottery pieces on display.
