Death of a Former Esteemed Resident.
Last Wednesday, Mr. Daniel W. Campbell, died suddenly from an attack o[n] inflammation at his residence, lot 13, Con. 3, Esquesing. The many friends of Mr. Campbell in Acton and vicinity are pained at this sad news. From the spring of 1874 until October 1888, he was a useful and respected resident of Acton. Mr. Campbell ran the planing mill now owned by Mr. John Cameron, for a number of years. For several terms he served as a member of the municipal Council and there proved himself ready to sacrifice personal interests while serving his fellow-citizens in a public capacity. Mr. Campbell removed to Guelph in 1888, and several years ago went farming on the property where he died. His wife and the following family survive: Mrs. J. A. Schroder, Elmira, Ont.; John, at Brantford; William H. at Milton; Florence, nurse at Buffalo State Hospital; Helen at home, and Margaret in the Public Library at Buffalo. The funeral on Good Friday afternoon was very largely attended.- Featured Link
