McKerracher, Duncan (Died)

OBITUARY. - We regret to record this week the death of another old settler, Mr. Duncan McKerracher, who died on Tuesday last, at the ripe old age of seventy-six. He was a native of [?]enlyon, Parish of Fortingal, Perthshire, Scotland, from whence he removed to Cananda in 1831, then settling in Nassagaweya, on the farm owned and occupied by him to the day of his death. He was a regular and consistent member of the Presbyterian congregation for many years. He leaves a widow and eight daughters, seven of whom are married, to mourn his loss, and to whom the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community is extended to their bereavement.
