- Fatal Accident.
On Thursday last as Mr. John Sharp, of Acton, was approaching the Grand Trunk crossing on Main street, a train came along. Mr. Sharp attempted to hold his horse by the head, but the frightened animal threw him to ground, stepping on him with his fore feet, causing severe internal injuries. The injured man was taken home, when after considerable suffering, he died on Saturday morning. Mr. Sharp was 72 years of age. He was a useful and much respected citizen. - Featured Link
