MOVIE REVIEW This is the first of what will be‘ a short weekly column on the feature presentations coming to the Plaza theatre. We couldn’t have started at a better time because this week, Manager Nick Vick-ruck has been fortunate enough to have one of the top pictures of last year with an all star cast headed by Frank Sinatra. The story has the rather odd title of "Ocean’s 11”, which comes from the lead character’s name. The story plain and simple is how Danny Ocean and his 10 war buddies plan to "break the bank” at Las Vegas. The story is so intriguing that we won’t mention anything further. Las Vegas will never forget the time it celebrated New Year’s Eve in February. It happened when the "Ocean’s 11” company went to the fabulous Nevada play spot to shoot scenes for the Dorchester Production for Warner Bros. The time for most of the scenes was supposed to be the week between Christmas and New Year’s and five of the plush Las Vegas hotels were decorated accordingly. Four of the film stars, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford worked in front of the cameras in the daytime and appeared together on stage at the Sands Hotel at night. The next two shows playing at the Plaza will be "The Chartroose Caboose” a delightful comedy and "The Enemy General” with Van Johnson. COMING ATTRACTIONS: Portrait in Black, starring Lana Turner and Anthony Quinn and At War with the Army starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. BUY NOW AND SAVE !
