The first day was taken up in arrang. ing the inside exhibit and judging the same. The weather was very threatening the second morning and a shower about 9 o'clock made things look very gloomy, but it faired up and a fine day followed. The exhibit of horses were folly up to the average. while the colts were the best we have seen at a Ipcal show. The indications point to a veiy decided impiovemcnt in horses which if continued from year to year will e'er long raise tbe value of our I stock of horses fifty per cent. The cattle exhibit was medium. Pigs, good quality but not many shown, Christ. Irwin showed a realW fine Birkshire Boar. Tte sUftw pens were mostly emply. Shepheidoon'a exhibit being aotioeaUy absent tb» year, laiere was a lot of fine Potdtry which appeared to advwitagain tlifitt building at the south end. IN TH« fiaXA. • • the exhibit was very good, ihe qnality eing of a high order generally. The bxtra space caused by the addition of I a wmg of 48x16 feet, had the effect of giymg the display a scattered ap- pearanoe ooiopared with the hamper- ed Btale of afbita of fonner years.
