Last Thursday and Friday, Gleuelg Affricoltural Society held their fail exhibition. The first day was wet tbroogbout, and no doubt bindred many from bringing articles to the ball which were previously entered however the ball was well filled. The foDowintt morning was very gloomy hut towards 10 o'clock, old saul broke through the scattering douds, and a lovely day followed. The grounds presented a very baiidoome appearance being clean and dry notwithstanding *he great quantity of rain which bad recently fallen, and had bnl} a few hours to dry off. The ball presented a very creditialle appearance, being well arranged with the vanoos exhibits which surpassed in appearance and quality that of East Grey Sbo%. The ball is not more than half large enongh for the proper display of ex- hibits in this rapidly growing fair. The poultry bocse attracted consider- able attention and called forl^ many expression? of adiiiiration on account of the neat and couvehient arrange- ment of the building, as also ibe num- ber and quality of the exhibit in this class. The show pt horses was very good, as also the cattle.. W. J. Shepherdson, of Euphrasia, had a fine lot of sheep, but had that department nearly to himself. There were also a good grade of pigs. Everything passed off quiet, orderly ^nd most satisfactory, and those who attended were highly pleased with the general management and fair throughout. The gate re- ceipts were some $20 in excess of any former year. The following is the list of prizes awarded H0B8X8. Span General Purpose â€" ^A Meieer, jr., Geo Dmwoodie, Thoii Mathews.
