At the church service here on Sunday evening the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper waa administered. Misa Shirley Purvis, Toronto, spent a fow days as truest at the Boyce home. Pte. Fred Boyce re- turned to Ipperwash Gamp on Sat- urday. Gnr. Victor Campbell from Shilo Tl-aininp Canip, Manitoba is taking a two week^ course 4t Camp Bor- den. Victor and his chum, I'te. Rae Forsberg spent the week end with his parents. Mr. and Mr.s. John Campbidl, Mrs. Fre<i Gorrell and Patsy were also vis-itors at the Campbell home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Graham and Xioreen of Walkerton ivere recent yisitors at the Boyce home. On Tuesday evening, April .3rd, t"he Y.P.U. met in the church base- ment with about 20 in attendance. Games were played for recreation. Mrs. D. Carson presided. The dis- cussion period was in charge of Mr. Arthur Proctor who took as his topic, "Transformed Friendship" Scripture passages showing great friendship were read by Gwen Park, Irene Phillips, and Gayle Genoe. Art told the story of Damen and Pythias, whose fast friendship knew no bounds. The meeting closed vrith the Mizpah benediction. On Thursday evening the L.O.L. held a dance in their hall here.' A very enjoyable time is reported. Miss Mary Stafford of Kimberley Hient a few days with her sister, Mrs. Ed Baker and Mr. Baker. Mr. T. Burtin of Toronto who pur- chased the Morgan residence on Main St. has had an addition built to it on the west side. Mr. Calvin Boyce is the carp^ter and has the huilding nearing comnletion. Mrs. T. Stewart, who purchased the building in which the post office is located, from the (Park estate, has made extensive alterations to t'le property. In the upper storey of the building, which adjourns to fie building, she has made - '•ozv anartment in which her daughter. Mrs. D. Carson and children reside. On Sunday afternoon a Memorial Service was held for Lloyd White, who died of wounds in Holland, in St. Columiba Church and wa« very largely attended. Rev. Mr. Pen- man gave a splendid sermon, Mrs. John McWilliams of Ceylon render- ed a lovely solo, "Does Jesus Care". Appropriate hymns were sung for the occasion.
