Description
- Full Text
Samuel, the twelve-year-old son of Mr. John Smith, of the 10th concession of Bentinck, died suddenly on Saturday last. The boy had been assisting at logging during the forenoon, and appeared to be in his usual good health. At noon he went to the house, and when dinner was ready went out and called the men, and then started back towards the house. He had gone but a short distance when he dropped. Assistance was immediately rendered, but it was of no avail, as he died in a short time, foaming and frothing at the mouth. It is thought that he must have eaten some poisonous root or herb while out in the woods.
