Armstong, Wallace, Mrs. (née Hardie) (Died)
- Full Text
The subject of these few lines was the daughter of James and Susan Hardie. Born in the village of Woodbridge on the 12th of August 1850, was united in marriage to Wallace Armstrong, of her native place on the 4th of July 1870 and died in Artemesia Township on the 27th Nov. 1883. For several years she had very poor health, and it was evident that the disease which [illegible - eluded?] the skill of the physicians, and all that relations could do, had marked her for its prey. During her illness she committed her way unto the Lord, and He graciously sustained her. She was resigned to her Maker's will, but felt the struggle in giving up her little ones. But as the end drew near, she was able to give up all.
Resolution of Condolence
We, the officers and members of L.O.L. No. 1118, Eugenia, deem it our duty to extend our sympathy to Bro. Wallace Armstrong and family in the severe bereavement Almighty God has seen fit to cause them to pass through. In Bro. Armstrong being deprived by death of his affectionate wife, and the family of a mother's love and counsel, we pray that they may look to the God of all grace for the consolation and strength He has promised the bereaved.
