Feversham News. The most notable even this week was the marriage Wednesday of Miss Flo McLeod and Oliver Dobson of the 14th line Osprey. The party arrived at the residence of Mr. Hall at about 1 o'clock where the nuptial event was to take place, but Mr. H. having recently severed his ministerial connection was therefore not legally qualified to perform the bridal ceremony, and the Rev. Mr. Flint of Singhampton was previously engaged to perform services of uniting them in holy bonds. The Rev. gentleman, on account of the bad condition of the roads, did not arrive just at the appointed time, so the party became impatient, and fearing he would not come, concluded to drive to Singhampton and there be made happy, but, just as they had left the limits of the corporation, a new idea suggested itself to their minds, that they would proceed to Maxwell and in the face of so much apparent disappointment would be made man and wife. The latter suggestion was successfully carried into effect after which the quartette wended its way homeward. When they reached Feversham, they discovered that during their absence, the pastor had been there and had started in hot pursuit of them to Singhampton; but long ere his arrival, the contracting parties had been feasting in each other's smiles and rejoicing in the holy bonds of unity.
