Town of Oakville staff decided to move the equipment taken from West Oak Trails Park to the community centre after Town council directed them to postpone the skatepark's planned move to Chris Mark Palermo Park. During a July meeting, council agreed safety concerns and a lack of adequate pedestrian access along the north side of Dundas Street, near the Palermo Park site, were reasons to investigate interim locations.
