ERIC RIEHL / SPECIAL TO THE BEAVER FOR PAWS: The ninth annual Cause for Paws was held at Appleby College and featured a martini party and a special guest performance by Johannes Linstead. Here, Gerry Sibbald, Marlene Sibbald, Eleni Banitsiotis and Gis Banitsiotis attend the event that raised more than $60,000 and featured a live auction. This year's auction items included a barbecue dinner for eight at a private home hosted by the firefighters featured in the 2010 Toronto Firefighters Calendar. Also on the auction block was a Michael Bublé concert package, a week in Arizona, a private home wine tasting, and a 10-course tasting menu with wine in the wine cellar of an Oakville restaurant. The event is a fundraiser for the Oakville and Milton Humane Society and was founded by those who founded the R-Dog Leash Free Post Park, the first in Oakville.
