Three wins for Cowboys Three of the six Halton Cowboys football teams in action last weekend came away with victories. The tyke Cowboys rolled over the Etobicoke Eagles 33-18 in their Ontario Minor Football League season opener, led by three touchdowns from Christian Smodis and two majors by Daniel Rhooms. Noah Rombough recovered a fumble. The junior varsity team got a late field goal by Aaron Jervis to defeat Brantford 13-10. The peewee OMFL team was defeated 39-6 by Ajax. Brandon Roberts had the Cowboys' TD and Zak Golench had two sacks in the loss. The peewee varsity Cowboys were blanked 21-0 by Brantford.
