Seeded fifth in the 2nd Division at the Ontario Cup finals, the Vytis surprised many by winning silver in its grouping. Oakville won three of its first four games at the championships before falling 59-40 to the Peel-Halton All-Starz in the goldmedal game. "Finishing second in Division 2 means we are 14th in Ontario, out of 84 teams our age," said Vytis coach Peter Szpakowski. "We had a number of new players this year and made some great strides. With the work ethic and positive attitude these kids have shown, I'm sure we'll continue to improve in years to come." Oakville won its opening game at the tournament, 47-24 over Brampton NBA #1. Critelli and DaSilva-Whyte fouled out of the championship game against Peel-Halton while Stefan Rukic was forced to leave with an ankle injury. Other members of the Vytis, which finished the year with an overall record of 28-14, are Jordan Solomon, Scott Henderson, Chris Hankins and Jared Hines.
