The Venom won all five of its contests at the competition, including a 63-53 victory over the host Monarchs in the championship game. James Agyeman and Mike Malo were Oakville's top scorers in the championship game. Trevon McNeil, Lazar Kojovic, Nolan Mackenzie, Omari Buchanan, Regis Ivaniukas, Mahad Farah, Jerome Yumul, KC Emmanuel, Kevin Jarrett and George Babic also contributed to the title. Oakville's other wins came against the Durham Bulldogs (avenging a one-point loss to Durham in a previous tournament final), the Ballers, the North York Avengers and the St. David Blues. Toney McNeil and Aleks Kojovic coach the team, and Rachel Malo is the Venom's conditioning coach. The Oakville Venom major midget boys' AAA basketball team won the recent Mississauga Monarchs tournament.
