Approximately 1,500 volunteers cleaned up at 39 nature sites throughout Oakville. A total 5,000 kilograms was trucked away by Halton Region Waste Management including 4,200 kilograms of garbage, 600 kilograms of metal waste and 200 kilograms of discarded tires. Twelve schools and 2,500 students took part last week. The purpose and effect of Interim Control By-law 2010-065 is to extend the interim control by-law of power generating facilities in order to complete additional study work to develop appropriate policies and regulations as well as complete an extensive public consultation program. File: Z.1601.19 The Town of Oakville has received a complete application by Westerkirk Capital Inc. to pass a by-law to remove the Holding Provision "H" from a portion of Zoning By-law 1984-63 as further amended by By-law's 2002-189, 2006-002 and 2008-074. The proposed application is to remove the "H" Holding Provision from Zoning By-law 1984-63, as amended, as it relates to 560 Winston Churchill Boulevard. The "H" Holding Provision was placed on this property to ensure that the landowner has obtained site plan approval for the lands or the landscaping of the O5 Open Space Corridor as proposed by Sithe Southdown Ltd. has been completed. The removal of the "H" Holding provision is a mechanism to ensure that the above conditions are fulfilled prior to the development of the lands in accordance with the approved zoning, and as such there is no right of appeal on a removal of a Holding Provision.
