The cable shorted out at around 10:37 p.m., affecting the area bounded by Queen Mary Drive, Dorval Drive, Speers Road and Deane Avenue in the Kerr Village area. Oakville Hydro personnel were able to get on scene and restore power to the area by 11:47 p.m. The cable is still being repaired, according to Oakville Hydro. All for growing the Greenbelt To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Greenbelt and its future growth in Oakville, Oakvillegreen will host an event on Thursday, April 1. It will take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. and feature guest speaker and CBC reporter Wendy Mesley.
