Police said the suspect had broken into the home and made his way to the second floor where a 16-year-old girl, who was alone in the house, confronted him. The suspect grabbed the girl and a struggle ensued. The girl managed to remove a mask the individual was wearing. The suspect fled the scene however the girl recognized the teen and helped police locate him. A 17-year-old Oakville male was arrested and charged with assault, break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and wearing a disguise to commit an indictable offence. The girl was not harmed during the incident. Cab driver mugged Halton police are searching for two men after a cab driver was robbed and assaulted at the Shell gas station located at Rebecca Street and Great Lakes Boulevard intersection Sunday. Police said the incident began in Burlington at 2:20 a.m. when a cab driver from Blue Line Taxi picked up three men from a nightclub, in the area of South Service Road and Walker's Line. The cab driver was initially told to take the men to Mississaga Street in Oakville, but when he arrived there, he was asked to pull into Westbrook Park on Chalmers Street. When the driver stopped the cab, one of the three men jumped out and proceeded to flee on foot. The cab then drove the two remaining men to the Shell gas station. When the driver was stopped on Great Lakes Boulevard at the northeast entrance of the Shell station, one of the men reached over the driver's shoulder and snatched the driver's cellphone and approximately $200-$300 from the driver's breast pocket. The two men got out of the cab. The cab driver chased after them, but was grabbed and held by one of the suspects while the other punched him in the face. The two men were last seen fleeing on foot southbound on Great Lakes Boulevard. The victim was treated for a broken nose at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and released. The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old, 6-foot with a muscular build, shaved head, blond hair, wearing a black jacket, tight-fitting jeans and black dress shoes. The second suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old, about 6-foot with a somewhat muscular build, but thinner than the first suspect. He had short blond hair, a five o'clock shadow and was wearing a creamcoloured jacket. Once the victims were satisfied the thieves were no longer in the house, they fled to a neighbour's home to call the police. No one was injured during the home invasion. Police investigators do not believe this was a random act as the thieves appeared to be familiar with the victims. The first suspect is described as a heavyset black male, 5-foot-7, with two pierced ears wearing gold star earrings, a black Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat, a black bandanna concealing the lower part of his face, a grey-and-black plaid sweatshirt and dark blue canvass running shoes. The second suspect is described as a `short' black male with a skinny build while the third suspect is described as a black male, 6-foot with a slim build. Both wore dark clothing with black bandannas concealing the lower half of their faces. The man who rang the doorbell is described as a black male in his early 20s with short hair and wearing dark clothing.
