Abbey Park's gold medalists included Matt Sheen (51-kilogram class), Vlad Kluev (83kg) and Sonu Ball (unlimited). Holy Trinity's Zack Falcioni claimed his second straight Halton crown, winning the 54kg division. Teammate Tommy Fox was first in the 41kg class. White Oaks' Daniel Alhaj (57.5kg) was the other local champion. Silver medals were won by King's Christian's Paul Oldfield (51kg) and Alex Cameron (83kg) as well as Trinity's Frank Simon (72kg) and David Bourne (89kg). Bronzes went to Trinity's Avery Gutierre (51kg) and Hayden Falcioni (67.5kg), King's Christian's Eric Ohi (77kg) and White Oaks' Tyler Mederos (unlimited). In girls' competition, King's Christian's Natasha Reynolds (54kg) and Natalie Cooper (57.5kg) won silver medals. White Oaks' Josie Caiger (51kg) and Nicole Panning (54kg) earned bronze. The Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference (GHAC) championships will be held tomorrow (Friday), with the top two finishers in each division advancing to OFSAA.
