The 23-year-old forward has spent this season with the East Coast Hockey League's Elmira Jackals, leading the team in scoring with 19 goals and 37 assists in 34 games. He ranks fifth in scoring in the ECHL. Donati made his AHL debut earlier this season with the Portland Pirates, earning an assist and posting a plus-one rating in the Pirates' 6-1 loss to the WilkesBarrie/Scranton Penguins Nov. 11. Donati's twin brother, Tyler, remains with the Jackals, where he has scored 13 goals and added 32 assists in 31 games. SPORTSBRIEFS a shot on goal and collected three loose balls for the Blazers. Boston will visit Toronto Friday in the back end of the teams' home-andhome series to start the season. Game time at the Air Canada Centre is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. weekend. Festarini sent back down It's been an up-and-down month for Chris Festarini. The 16-year-old goaltender, who was called up last week by the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters, was reassigned back to the junior B Port Colborne Pirates Monday. Festarini made his OHL debut Saturday in Erie's 8-7 shootout loss against the London Knights. "As an organization, we feel that Chris will be better prepared to enter the OHL next season," said Otters general manager Sherry Bassin. "Going back to Port Colborne, he'll be the number one goaltender and face a lot of shots." Festarini, a fifth-round pick of the Otters in last year's OHL Priority Selection, also recently represented Team Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Ontario finished second at the tournament in Timmins, losing 2-1 to the United States in the championship game. Festarini played in one game at the tournament. Third period breaks the Ice The Ottawa Lady Senators scored three third-period goals to break open a 2-1 game and defeat the Oakville Ice 5-1 Saturday in Provincial Women's Hockey League play. Andrea Ziesmann opened the scoring for the Ice before Ottawa scored the next five goals of the contest. Ice netminder Ali Binnington made 31 saves in the loss. The previous day, Oakville earned a 1-1 tie with the Brampton Thunder in Brampton. Julie Hall had the Ice's goal, a shorthanded marker in the first period. Brampton tied the game with 5:45 to go in regulation. Oakville outshot the Thunder 3222.
