The event is at 7:30 p.m. at the BurlOak Canoe Club, 160 Water St. Specializing in sophisticated menu planning that reflect her world travels, Hughes will demonstrate that no matter how busy you are, you can still throw a fantastic party. As well as being a cooking teacher, Hughes recently won the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for her e-book, The Groove Mamma Goes Gourmet: Easy Ways to Put the Fun Back into Entertaining.
