This Saturday, November 14 2 - 5 p.m. Salon Monzer celebrates 5th anniversary in style Salon Monzer, located in the heart of Downtown Oakville, has had their infamous purple door open for five years. Having first opened their doors on November 10, 2004 owners Azi and Monzer know they could not have picked a better location for their salon. "Monzer and myself love being part of the community. Downtown Oakville has embraced us and it truly has been an exciting time," Azi says. In celebration of their fifth anniversary, Salon Monzer held a party on Tuesday, November 10 to show their appreciation to their clients. The evening, a catered affair by Seasons, was full of wine and hor d'ourves for everyone to enjoy, door prizes and the band El Mosaico, featuring elements of Flamenco, Jazz and Latin music to help kick-off the festivities. Local photographer, Levent, was also in attendance showcasing his work. "It was great to see everyone at our fifth anniversary party; Monzer and I could not have got to this point without them." Salon Monzer's clients have helped shape who they have become. "We want to thank everyone that's been instrumental to our success at Salon Monzer," Azi says. "Our clients have stuck with us through thick and thin. Even when we were under construction trying to put the salon together, before we were officially open, one of our clients would be sitting in Monzer's chair getting her bi-weekly blow dry. These are the kinds of people that have embraced us and these are the people that have gotten us to where we are today. For that we are thankful." For Monzer, waking up every morning and going to the salon is nothing but a dream. "Hair is not my job," he explains. "It's my passion." All of the stylists at Salon Monzer are highly skilled professionals with a strong sense of customer service and integrity. "Our team is one of a kind," Azi says. "They are committed to education and are excited to explore new looks daily. They are a pleasure to work with." Not only does the salon offer quality service, they also use and provide quality products. "Kerastase has been with us from day one, they are exclusive to a few salons and we are ecstatic to be working with such a great line!" The upstairs location offers a relaxing and elegant boutique style salon with a view over looking Lakeshore Road and Navy Street.
