The clinics were temporarily closed as of Monday after the Halton Region health department ran low on vaccine. The Region received a shipment of 16,000 doses on Tuesday morning, according to Dr. Bob Nosal, Halton Region's medical officer of health. "We've got a very small amount left (5,000 doses) along with the 16,000 doses, so we will continue to give vaccine to physicians and we will plan to reopen our clinics on Thursday," he said. "The direction (from the Province) is still for priority groups. Our numbers have been coming down in the clinics, so we don't need to open for the full eight hours, so if we open for four hours, that should be plenty." The Oakville clinic at the Halton Regional Centre on Bronte Road was still open this week, but only for pregnant women, who wanted the unadjuvanted vaccine.
