15 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, November 4, 2009 IRHS offers Spirit of the Holidays The Spirit of the Holidays -- Iroquois Ridge High School's annual marketplace craft show -- will be Saturday, Nov. 7. Hand-fused glass, gourmet chocolate, white pottery craft and precious gem jewelery will all be available at the sale to be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the high school located at 1123 Glenashton Dr. Iroquois Ridge High School and its collaborative councils have invited the participation of artisans and vendors. Last year vendors offered home accessories, fashions and holiday gifts. Proceeds help finance many of the school's extracurricular programs. The one-day sale event takes place in the "atrium-style main hall" and the main cafeteria of the school. Shoppers can also enjoy a full range of good eats while shopping. New at this year's show will be Melinda Titley's designer cupcakes, Claire Lawrence's hand-crafted jewelery and Lynn Petruskavich's thought spots. There is a $20 per test drive charge (one per household address) to support the school's new robotics team. The fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 2420 Sixth Line high school located just south of Glenashton Boulevard. The school is hoping to raise $6,000 through the event.
