There will be two performances -- at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. This is the musical story of Vernon's adventure, when he and his family come down from Muskoka to visit their relatives in Oakville, with each character being represented by a different musical instrument. The story was written and will be narrated by Ian Morrison, who, like Vernon and his cousin and friends, is a member of the Oakville Symphony Orchestra. Vernon takes the place of a vacationing member of his cousin's band, which plays lively music, and children will have a chance to help conduct the band. These 30 minute mini-concerts capture the attention and imagination of all ages, especially children in the four to nine year range. Admission is free, but spaces are limited and should be reserved by phone at 905-8446920 or by e-mail at osochildrenconcert@gmail.com. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
