Photo deadline extended With the entry deadline extended to Oct. 14, shutterbugs still have time to earn acclaim and a valuable prize by entering a favourite photograph in Capture Oakville 2009, the town's premiere photography competition. Photos are eligible if taken within Oakville's geographic confines from Jan. 1, 2009 until the Oct. 14 deadline for entries. Prizes include a Alpha A230 DSLR, photographic equipment, camera bags and gift cards. Participants can enter up to five photos, one each in this year's five categories: Dusk `til Dawn, Abstract Art, Streetscapes, Solace and Elementals. Each entry must be printed on 11x14, high-quality photographic paper. The top 80 prints will be selected by jury, framed and displayed at Oakville Town Hall.
