OAKVILLE BEAVER Thursday, September 10, 2009 · 20 Jordan Moxam Memorial Golf Classic goes Saturday Tee-off times are still available for the fifth annual Jordan Moxam Memorial Golf Classic. This year's event will be held Saturday (Sept. 12) at Indian Wells Golf Club, located on Walkers Line north of Burlington. The tournament, organized by the Oakville Kinsmen, is in the memory of Jordan Moxam, who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 12. Proceeds of the event are used to purchase new sports equipment for children whose families P U B L I S H E D T H R E E T I M E S The race is on cannot afford to purchase it. "Many organizations graciously discount or waive fees for disadvantaged children, but they still require the equipment to keep them safe while playing these sports," said Tony Byrne, vice president of the Kinsmen Club of Oakville.
