13 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, September 2, 2009 Fall Registration Make a lifestyle change that lasts forever The no-nonsense approach to losing weight and keeping it off is here in Oakville. Having over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, fitness instructor and Nutrition Counselor, Slim Down Inc. owner Claudine de Jong created the 8 Week Weight Loss Challenge. "I have created and designed an eight week weight loss challenge to help train the mind and body to reach their full potential," she says. The 8 Week Weight Loss Challenge consists of weigh-ins, body fat percentage testing, measurements, food journaling, proper nutrition/ portion control, healthy recipes, core training, strength training, bootcamp, circuit training, interval training and stretching. Moving more and eating less is a large part of the 8 Week Weight Loss Challenge. "I try to steer my clients away from the stereotypical, gimmicky diets," Claudine says. "It's all about a balance of diet and exercise 80 per cent diet and 20 per cent exercise." As a working mother of three, Claudine knows what can be achieved once you're committed to putting your health first and living your best life. "I can't offer a quick fix," she says. "Through hard work, perseverance, commitment and learning to be responsible for your actions my results will last forever. It doesn't always have to be difficult most of my clients are shocked at how making little changes in their life can have such a huge impact on their overall well being." This fall, there are four, eight-week sessions starting Wednesday, September 9; Friday, September 11; Wednesday, November 4 and Friday, November 6. Each session offers two classes a week to give participants ample time reap the many benefits of the program. "Claudine helped me lose those extra 15pounds I just couldn't get off on my own," Nene Atkin of Oakville says of her experience with the program. "I am able to give my all during the workout sessions and my eating habits are better since I now know how to make better food choices."
