17 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, August 19, 2009 Premiere Dance celebrates 10 years with grand opening of new studio Premiere Dance is back and better than ever. For her 10-year anniversary Carla Marques, Owner and Director of Premiere Dance has found a spacious 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art, air conditioned, freehold, and much improved home for Premiere Dance. The new facility is now located in Burlington, only four kilometers away from its previous location. The facility includes six large dance studios allowing Premiere Dance to offer more variety in dance forms. "The studios will provide the highest quality dance studio flooring that is well cushioned to absorb the shock of jumping," Carla explains. "This type of floor helps absorb the impact of dancing and helps keep teachers and students more energized, while greatly aiding in injury prevention." The studio also feature ballet barres and full mirrors throughout to help students observe their movements while learning. Offering both recreational and high-end competitive dance classes, Premiere Dance continues to provide caring and careful instruction for children and adults of all ages, offering a variety of classes designed to provide a complete education in the dance arts. "Our professional faculty is always on the cutting edge of the newest and best teaching techniques in Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Highland, Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Drama," Carla says. In addition to the New York style studio, Premiere Dance boasts a number of professional instructors. "Our staff is one of a kind and is highly renowned in the dance world," Carla explains. "A new addition to our professional staff this year is `So You Think You Can Dance' top 20 finalist Caroline Torti." Carla's vision continues to strive to create a beautiful, ambient studio that focuses on teaching dance as an art form as well as a fun fitness activity. "I want to create a space that nurtures students' capabilities and enables them to achieve their goals," she says. "Whether it is to unleash their inner artistic expression, get fit, or just dance. Every child is different there is always a different quality to find within them, that is why training in a positive way is very important." Registration for fall classes is being held throughout August on Tuesday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. as well as Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information about the new Premiere Dance visit them at their new location at 1149 Heritage Road, Burlington; call 905-335-2100; or email premieredance@on.aibn.com.
