Ploughing Match.

The second annual ploughing match under the auspices of Artemesia Agricultural Society was held on the farm of Mr. R. Oliver on Thursday the 20th inst. The weather was all that could be desired and the turnout of spectators was large. But the competitors was not so numerous as could be desired, as there was good prizes offered. For boys under 18 yrs of age there was no competitors, this is something to be regretted as it is to the young that we have to look for our future Agriculturalists. The following are the names of prize winners; Class I. 1st F. Cairns, 2nd, E. Lomas, 3rd, H. King; Class II, 1st, J. Oliver, 2nd, J. Chard, 3rd, N. McLain. The judges were W. Nichols, H. Arquitt and W. Smiley.
