Another attempt of robbery in our village took place last Sunday in broad daylight. Two evil disposed young men of this neighborhood upon finding one of our worthy citizens from home, not thinking he would return soon they entered his house quietly and helped, or tried to, help themselves to the best in the house. Just when enjoying a good time as they thought, the boss entered upon the scene. The two lads skipped northward looking very much dissappointed and licking their lips after the good of things. There is a very strong suspicion as to who the two lads are; as to the stolen goods the total loss has not yet been fully estimated but the stock they were handling was very costly stuff. It is the opinion of the public that the lads will be captured yet; they were both medium size, fair complection and probably between twenty and twenty-five years of age. It is supposed that they are lurking around yet. It would be wise to appoint a constable or two in this place to look after such characters. We must say they were bold to make such an attempt about mid-day.
