On Monday evening last Dennis Calaghan of the 13th line Glenelg was arrested and tried before Justice Brown for belaboring George Walker, son of Mr. Francis Walker also of Glenelg. It appears the two young men got into an altercation in reference to the drawing powers of Walker's horses, while working on the road at Statute Labor. Calaghan got angry and struck Walker over hte head with a shovel leaving him in an unconcious state from which he did not rally for several hours, and is yet in a critical condition. The case was adjourned until Friday to see whether Walker injuries were likely to prove fatal.
