A report comes from up the Peninsula that last Thursday the steamer Gen. Wolseley, bound from Owen Sound to Dyer's Bay, caught on fire and was burned to the water's edge near Cape Croker. She was running ashore and the crew escaped. Insurance $3,000, in two American companies. No further particulars.
