Description
- Full Text
A serious fire occurred last Friday night in the building owned by J. H. McKeggie and occupied by Lindsay Bros., dry goods merchants, and the upper storey by Freemasons' Lodge. The fire burned furiously, and, though the steam fire engine promptly got to work and an excellent and continuous supply of water was obtained, the building and contents were totally destroyed. The fire then communicated to Campbell's Agricultural Implement shop, the office of the Stayner Sun, the store of W. G. Begg, and the residence of Charles Wiggins, all of which were totally destroyed.
