7 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Thursday, June 11, 2009 Home invasion at apartment Halton police are looking for the three men responsible for a home invasion, which took place at the 110 South Forester Park Dr. apartment building, Tuesday night. The incident began at 11 p.m. when the apartment's occupant answered a knock at his door, only to be confronted by three masked men. Police said that with the door open, the three men forced their way into the apartment with one man striking the victim on the head with a blunt object. The three suspects then searched through the apartment and took a quantity of cash, electronics as well as the keys to the victim's car. The culprits then left the apartment in the victim's car, a grey 2004 Honda Civic four-door with the Ontario licence plate BCZT360. The vehicle has yet to be recovered and anyone who knows its whereabouts is asked to call police. The suspects are described as black, wearing black jeans, black hooded sweaters and black bandannas. The victim received only minor injuries during the robbery and did not require hospitalization. Halton police are continuing to investigate this incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747, ext. 2205 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
