In his second season with the Roughnecks, Cordingley led the team to a league-best 12-4 record and then helped Calgary capture its second Champions Cup in franchise history. Cordingley also won league titles in 1993 and 1996 as a player. The Roughnecks were 19-13 in Cordingley's two seasons as head coach.
