Council met in the Town Hall, Glenelg, June 15th, 1885, pursuant to adjournment. All members present; the Reeve in the chair. Moved by Mr. Dunsmore, seconded by Mr. McMillan, that the petition of the Police Trustees and others of the village of Markdale in regard to drainage by-law be left over till next meeting.--Carried. Mooved by Mr. McCuaig, seconded by Mr. Neil, that Henry Burnet be paid $80 for keep of Mrs. Anderson, an indigent, up to the 16th of June, as per agreement.--Carried. Moved by Mr. McMillan, seconded by Mr. Neil, that John Fallice be paid $2.16 for wood for use of Hall.--Carried. Moved by Mr. McMillan, seconded by Mr. Dunsmore, that the Clerk be instructed to notify Moses Leslie, pathmaster in road division 70, to have all timbers and obstructions removed off road opposite Barrhead Mills.--Carried. Moved by Mr. Neil, seconded by Mr. Dunsmore, that Rowell & Hutchinson's account of $2.86 be paid.--Carried. Moved by Mr. McCuaig, seconded by Mr. McMillan, that Geo. Moore be paid $50 on account of contract on Saugeen bridge, D.R., as per agreement.--Carried. Moved by Mr. McMillan, seconded by Mr. McCuaig, that J. H. Hull be paid $3 for rent of Hall for Division Court purposes.--Carried. Moved by Mr. Neil, seconded by Mr. McCuaig, that James Miller's account of $3, for legal advice, be paid.--Carried. Moved by Mr. Neil, seconded by Mr. McCuaig, that the Reeve and Mr. Neil be a committee to have the road at Barrhead Mills repaired.--Carried. Moved by Mr. McMillan, seconded by Mr. McCuaig, that the Clerk be paid quarter's salary, $37.50, and postage, $2.43.--Carried. Moved by Mr. Neil, seconded by Mr. McCuaig, that the Clerk be paid $10 for drawing plans of the village of Markdale and Priceville for the use of the township.--Carried. Moved by Mr. McCuaig, seconded by Mr. Dunsmore, that the Reeve and Mr. McCuaig be paid for two days committee work, each $4.--Carried. Council adjourned to meet on July 27th, at 10 a.m. J. S. Black, Clerk.
