On Wednesday, May 27, shortly after 12:30 p.m., a 40-year-old Milton man took a 2008 BMW M4 out for a test drive. The vehicle was pulled over on Wyecroft Road after a speed measuring device reported the driver to be travelling at 117 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. This offence also carries with it the charge of `stunt' driving. The vehicle was seized and towed into storage for a period of 7 days. The fees for the tow and storage must also be paid before the vehicle will be released by police. The driver has to have his licence reinstated and the offence has to be dealt with either by payment or court trial. The Halton Regional Police Service is responding to traffic safety as a top priority. "The officers will use the `stunt' driving legislation as one of the tools to ensure the safety of each and every driver in Halton," said Sergeant Steve MacDonald.
