OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, May 8, 2009 · 34 Emmett on stage Quality Hot Tubs Starting @ The Strung-Out Troubadours, consisting of guitarists Rik Emmett of Triumph fame and Toronto's Dave Dunlop, are performing at LeDome in Oakville on Thursday, May 14. The concert will go from 6:30-10 p.m. and will include appetizers along with live and silent auctions and music performances. Since Emmett and Dunlop formed the Strung-Out Troubadours, the duo has garnered significant critical acclaim, including being named Group of the Year at the 2007 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. Emmett, ex headman of Triumph and Dunlop formerly of The Full Nine and also now playing with the re-formed Triumph, are lending their considerable talents in support of The Kerr Street Celebration, an evening benefit to help fund development programs for Oakville's Kerr Street Ministries.
