Local and Other Items: [Late Newspaper Disrupts Week]

The STANDARD'S non appearance on Thursday last in its customary regularity and promptness appeared to threw things generally out of gear, so much that many of our citizens lost track of the day of the week, in fact they had scarcely regained their whereabouts on Sunday as only 22 were to be seen in the Methodist Church, out of an average congregation of some 200 while other churches were similarly affected. We must endeavor in future to issue on time or give notice beforehand.
