Munn's celebrates heritage École Munn's, a French immersion public school serving north Oakville will be holding a Commemoration Celebration and Silent Auction on Saturday, May 23. The school will be transformed with a walk down Memory Lane as it celebrates the 200th anniversary of the founding of the first school in the area by Daniel Munn, a settler after whom this community school has been named. École Munn's originally opened its doors in 1954 as Munn's Public School and has been revitalized as a French immersion education centre. The school is trying to track down alumni, memorabilia, old photos, spirit wear and information about Munn's school from the community. Anyone who may have attended the school or worked there is invited to contact the organizing committee. Munn's is now celebrating its first year as a French immersion school and honouring Oakville's heritage with this event. Anyone with information can contact, Jennifer Landa or Laura Robertson at munnscelebration@gmail.com or leave a message with the secretary at École Munn's Public School at 905-8449461. 17 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, April 15, 2009 DENTURES tarting at S 379 905-815-8208 $ LIMITED TIME OFFER ON SALE NOW!
