Gairdner Arena. Unfortunately for the Blue Dogs, it was their only goal of the afternoon in a 2-1 loss that evened the best-of-three Canadian Independent Schools Athletic Association girls' hockey final at 1-1. Appleby is scheduled to travel to Buffalo for the deciding game of the series today (Friday). Blades, Raiders open series tomorrow The schedule has been finalized for the Ontario Junior Hockey League's MacKinnon Division championship series, which pits the Oakville Blades against the Georgetown Raiders. Georgetown, which finished first in the division during the regular season, will host Game 1 tomorrow (Saturday), beginning at 7:30 p.m. Game 2 will take place Monday at Joshua's Creek Arenas, starting at 7:30 p.m. Dates for the other games, which will continue to alternate venues between Georgetown and Oakville, are Wednesday, March 11; Friday, March 13; Saturday, March 14; Monday, March 16; and Wednesday, March 18 (last three games only to be played if necessary). This is the fourth time in six years that Georgetown and Oakville have faced off in a division championship series. The Blades defeated Georgetown in five games in last year's West Conference final. The Raiders exacted some early-season revenge on the Blades this year, winning the first three regular-season matchups by a combined score of 20-7. Oakville, however, won the final meeting between the teams, 5-2 Jan. 30 at Joshua's Creek Arenas. Summer Varsity, JV & Peewee Stampeders (Ages 13-20) Registrations still being accepted!
