Oakville took a 2-0 lead in the best-offive MacKinnon Division quarter-final series Thursday in Brampton, scoring six second-period goals to down the Capitals 83. Tyler Leimbrock paced the Blades Thursday, recording a hat trick and adding an assist against the team that traded him to Oakville earlier this season. Chris Muise, another former member of the Capitals, had a goal and two assists. Also scoring for the Blades were Kellan Lain (two), Dan Hunt and Lindsay Sparks. Luke Moodie and Sparks both contributed a pair of helpers. Despite the lopsided result, Oakville goaltender Matt Hache was kept busy, finishing the game with 35 saves. Oakville was credited with 18 shots in the game.
